the river remembers you
🎧 Listen
This is an audio nourishment for when you feel weary on your path, for when the load you carry and steer feels heavy.
Sometimes as big givers, big hearters we give and give, and can forget to nourish the well of our being with rest, with a softness to be able to receive.
In a world that is fast, to slow down is anomaly. But in rest the waves of energy that move us return back to the source, only to return once more in the natural flow after the ebb.
Visualise the washing out of waves. That stillness is not in fact stillness at all but the gathering motion of the Tao seeking to gather more from the pot of all that is to replenish and inspire you anew once more.
For many of us, this is an unlearning. If you, like me, find so much meaning in your giving, it can take strong conscious choice to pause and to honour the sacred moments inbetween inhale and exhale of movement.
This transmission is an invite to pause, to soften.
As the Tao says, rest in me
and know that movement is still happening in your active stillness.
Breathe, draw light into the places that feel tired
Exhale, release the stories that whisper
Inhale, draw in patience as a tree draws in water
Exhale, offer your effort and your rest to the great unfolding.
In love
